Md Musharaf Hossain, Sherpur:Linkage building workshop for LAs CSOs representative from marginalized groups was held in the Upazila Parishad complex auditorium in Nakla Upazila of Sherpur District on Monday.
The workshop held was initiated by “KHAMATAYAN” project, funded by European Union, implemented by Traidcraft Exchange and Co-implemented by Rural Development Sangstha (RDS).
Shahjahan Alam vice-president of Upazila Agro Producer Association presided over the workshop, where Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Zahidur Rahman was present as the chief guest.
Upazila agriculture officer agriculturist Paresh Chandra Das, upazila livestock officer Dr Md Abdul Ahad, senior upazila fisheries officer agriculturist Anik Rahman as special guest and others spoke on the program.
In this workshop, the speakers talked about increasing the rights and empowerment of women and increasing the facilities and rights of the disabled and marginal farmers.
Agriculturist Uzzal Kumar Dutta Roy regional coordinator of Mymensingh, agriculturist Muhammad Mahbub Hasan district coordinator of Sherpur, more than 4 chairmen of different union parishads of the upazila, officers of different departments of Nakla, GS of Nakla Press Club Mosharraf Hossain Sarkar Babu, organizing secretary Nur Hossain and executive member Simanur Rahman Sukhan, other members of upazila Upazila Agro Producer Association of Nakla and others employee of KHAMATAYAN project were present.
